Thesis Title: Pensare la relazione. Un percorso nella filosofia di Gilles Deleuze - Thinking the relation. A way in the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze

About

This work discusses two issues: the problem of relation and how it is approached and developed within Gilles Deleuze's philosophy.
According to Aristotle, "relation, among all categories, is the one that has the least being and reality" (Metaphysics, N 1, 1088 a 22-24). In Gilles Deleuze's philosophy the Aristotelian supremacy of substance gives way to the role of event and relation. From a logical point of view, Deleuze develops the theory of the independence of relation with respect to finite terms, by analyzing the relationship between finite and infinite in modern philosophy (Leibniz and Spinoza). Finally, relation is intended by Deleuze in a pragmatic sense and it gains a practical meaning, as of his monograph on Hume.
